#Review: IN THE KINGDOMS NAME by Amy

  5 of 5 stars

What would you do if you had a chance to change history? This is what Eva MacKay must decide when she time-travels back to 1297 Scotland in the time of William Wallace. Wallace was a heroic figure who fought with every breath in his body to drive the English from Scottish soil, but when backstabbing nobles turn on him at a crucial battle, William is left running and fighting for his life.

Ms. Jarecki does a magnificent job of bringing the characters and the setting in medieval times to life. The passion and undying love of Eva and William could inspire even the most hardened reader to believe in love conquering all. Unfortunately, history has already been written and Wallace's fate was sealed 700 years ago, but that does stop Eva from trying to save the man she so desperately loves. I could hardly put this book down even though I knew what had to happen. The author pulls the reader along to an inevitable end and it will make you cry NOOOOOOOOO as you watch history unfold. A definite read for those who love historical fiction and especially Scottish history. Highly Recommended.

I received a copy of the book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
